Machine sharpened saw blades, handmade saws, toolboxes made from metal barrels, and sand that will hold up a car!  Oh, and I almost forgot, a Nick Ferry in silicone!  I think it’s obvious I spend longer than I should online looking at things being made & created.  These are some things along the way that I find noteworthy and worth a look.  Although not always directly woodworking related, it is still very interesting stuff.  Some of the videos are from newer small channels and some from huge established channels, but all would appreciate your support of a like, share or comment about their projects.  I don’t have a set schedule per say for these posts, I just share them as I find some cool stuff.

Table Saw Blade Sharpening

Dave Moore takes us to get his table saw blade sharpened professionally.  A lot goes into the process to get it done properly.

BearKat Wood

Above, Dave showed us some high tech blade sharpening.  Now, Brian shows us his hands on approach to making a saw from raw wood and metal.  Beautifully done!

Japanese Kokeshi Dolls

Handmade Japanese Kokeshi dolls.  I was especially mesmerized by the hand painting skills these craftsman employ.

MSE Walls (mechanically stabilized earth)

Put on your thinking cap as Grady explains how seemingly unstable materials are used for structure.  Grady’s channel started with more of a woodworking theme but he has taken it in a different direction and I make sure not to miss any of it.

The Ultimate Toolbox

A toolbox made from a metal barrel, what’s not to love?

Barrel Making

What is better to store in barrels than tools?  Possibly some of your favorite spirits.  The coopers at Jack Daniels run you through the process on how they craft their sour mash whiskey barrels.

Machine Right

Anthony is a friend of mine that has been making some really cool stuff.  When he said he wanted to start making videos, I offered encouragement to do so.  Okay, so maybe I hounded him a bit.  But either way, his first video is so well done I encourage you guys to subscribe to his channel.  I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next!

I think he mentioned it in the video but I can’t remember – it’s been a while since I watched it
